Third FPL Solar Farm Coming to Jackson County

Gulf Power’s third solar energy center in Jackson County should be online by the end of 2021. The 440-acres Blue Springs Solar Energy Center will generate 74.5-megawatts of quiet, zero-emissions energy, enough to power 15,000 homes annually. This is a reduction in emissions equivalent to removing 26,000 cars from the road every year.

79 Corridor Project to bring industry to Northwest Florida

The 79 Corridor Project is an interlocal agreement between Holmes County, Washington County, and the city of Bonifay. The goal is to bring development into the Highway 79 area from I-10 to Douglas Ferry Road in Washington County. The project has received $1 million to lay the groundwork.
